Copper grease, also called copper grease, is an anti-seize lubricating grease consisting of a mixture of solid lubricants and copper powder, finely dispersed in a consistent grease. It is used to protect the threads of screws, nuts and bolts. It is very suitable for use on threads exposed to high temperatures or humidity, prevents seizures and corrosion and facilitates tightening. It is not soluble in water and can withstand temperatures of over 1000 °C if the copper concentration in the grease is very high. It is often used to prevent squealing applied to the back of disc brake pads on cars and motorcycles.
